In therapy, I aim to create a safe and supportive environment and conduct therapy in the context of a genuine relationship with my clients.
Trust, safety, acceptance and authenticity are what I value most in therapy. I believe change can only happen under the condition that a person is truly heard and accepted. I strive to connect deeply with clients despite of their skin color, country of origin, past history, outward image, and social status.
My research focuses on the impact of COVID-19 pandemic on individuals' social attitudes and psychological wellbeing, Asian American identity, adverse effects of racism, and factors that affect Asian American mental health.
